European M&A: corporate strategy plans 2013-2023
The health of the global economy has an impact on merger and acquisition activity, which features heavily in the corporate strategy of many companies in growth years. However, M&A is again in the cards for many European corporate executives heading into 2024 compared to the previous year's hesitations. In 2023, only 13 percent of corporate executives said that their company is not considering M&A over the next 12 months, up from 12 percent in the previous year. Additionally, less companies are considering acquisitions compared to previous years.
